About PEG

We’re David and Carolyn Wright, and former city councilman lifelong Utahns and the founding members of Provo for Ethical Government, a registered Political Action Committee with the State of Utah. As longtime residents of Provo, we care deeply about the integrity of our local government and the character of our community.

We created Provo for Ethical Government because we believe leadership should be rooted in honesty, transparency, and accountability. City decisions should reflect the voices and values of the people, not political insiders or special interests.

Our mission is simple: to encourage ethical leadership, protect neighborhoods, and promote responsible, citizen-centered government in Provo.

We’re proud to stand with candidates like Hannah Petersen, who embody respect, integrity, and a genuine willingness to listen.

Dave Knecht, is a officer in Provo For Ethical Government. He is former Provo City Council member City-wide from 2002 to 2006 and was elected in 2015 to represent District 3.  He served for 13 years as Neighborhood Chair for Provost South.
